St. Mary's Knights (Sleepy Eye, MN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Sleepy Eye Indians (Sleepy Eye, MN), 54-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, St. Mary's upgrades its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Cedar Mountain (Morgan, MN) to play the Cougars in a A Section 2 bout on Monday, January 29. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 9-7. Cedar Mountain won 85-64 in their recent league bout against Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop (Winthrop, MN)

Next up, the Indians play the Wabasso Rabbits (Wabasso, MN) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 29. Sleepy Eye will attempt to upgrade on its 12-4 season record. The Rabbits come into the bout with a 4-13 record after their 67-52 league win over Yellow Medicine East (Granite Falls, MN).
