The Youngker Roughriders basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Independence Patriots to 44 in the Roughriders league triumph on Thursday.

The Roughriders now sport a 9-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Glendale for a 5A Central Valley contest on Friday, February 3. Youngker will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 87-56 league loss to Buckeye (Buckeye, AZ). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-15.

The Patriots (4-18) will now prepare for their contest against Washington (Phoenix, AZ). The Rams enter the 5A Central Valley contest with a 9-14 record. In their last contest, Washington was routed by Kofa (Yuma, AZ), 49-43, in a league contest.
