In Thursday's non-league match, the host Montgomery Central Timberwolves basketball team scored a tight 57-54 triumph over the Union Academy Cardinals.

In their next game, the Timberwolves meet the Central Davidson Spartans (Lexington, NC) in a 3A Conference 47 match, on Friday, February 3.
