In Thursday's non-league outing, the Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) basketball squad felled the visiting Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC), by a margin of 65-49.

The Bearcats (5-4) will now prepare for their outing against Apprentice Academy (Monroe, NC). The Red Wolves go into the non-league outing with a 0-5 record. In their last outing, Apprentice Academy was beaten by Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC), 63-33, in a league outing.

The Timberwolves now own a 1-8 record. They play next when they travel to Willow Spring for a non-league outing on Wednesday, December 28.
