North Carolina High School Basketball - Anson tops Montgomery Central

December 13, 2022: Troy, NC 27371

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) and the host Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC), saw Anson's basketball squad knock off Montgomery Central by a count of 69-51.

With the victory, Anson upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Bearcats host Albemarle (Albemarle, NC) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 14. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 3-4. Albemarle won 65-57 in their recent non-league challenge against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC)

Next up, the Timberwolves play the Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 16. Montgomery Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 59-45 league win over Lee County (Sanford, NC).
