In Thursday's league match, the visiting North Stanly Comets basketball team scored a good 62-47 triumph over the Union Academy Cardinals.

In their next game, the Comets meet the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 35 match, on Friday, January 27.
