Illinois High School Basketball - Oakwood crushes Iroquois West
February 2, 2024: Fithian, IL 61844 Oakwood Comets (Fithian, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Iroquois West Raiders (Gilman, IL), 67-42 in a league bout.
With the win, Oakwood upgrades its record to 21-6 on the season. The Comets travel to Watseka (Watseka, IL) to clash with the Warriors in a Vermilion Valley bout on Saturday, February 3. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 13-10. Watseka lost 48-30 in their recent league bout against Salt Fork (Sidell, IL)
Next up, the Raiders clash with the Milford Bearcats (Milford, IL) in a Vermilion Valley bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Iroquois West will attempt to upgrade on its 10-16 season record.
