Virginia High School Basketball - Covenant overwhelmed by Miller School of Albemarle

February 3, 2023: Charlottesville, VA 22903

The Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the visiting Covenant Eagles to 24 in the Mavericks non-league victory on Friday.

The Mavericks now sport a 18-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Steward for a non-league contest on Monday, February 6. Miller School of Albemarle will battle a Spartans team coming off a 64-23 non-league win over Christchurch School (Christchurch, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 17-6.

With the defeat, Covenant moves to 11-9 on the year. The Eagles travel to Virginia Academy (Ashburn, VA) to meet the Patriots in a NVIAC match on Tuesday, February 7. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 17-6. Virginia Academy lost 74-68 in their recent non-league match against Shabach Christian Academy (Landover, MD)
