Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers (Paxton, IL), 53-20 in a league bout.

With the win, Illinois Valley Central upgrades its record to 12-15 on the season. The Grey Ghosts travel to Fieldcrest (Minonk, IL) to clash with the Knights in a non-league bout on Monday, February 6. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 26-3. Fieldcrest won 62-54 in their recent league bout against Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) in a Illini Prairie bout, on Monday, February 6. Paxton-Buckley-Loda will attempt to upgrade on its 8-18 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 13-14 record after their 47-46 league loss to Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL).
