Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL), 56-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Pontiac upgrades its record to 5-14 on the season. The Indians travel to Herscher (Herscher, IL) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 17-4. Herscher won 62-17 in their recent league bout against Lisle (Lisle, IL)

Next up, the Grey Ghosts play the Elmwood Trojans (Elmwood, IL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 18. Illinois Valley Central will attempt to upgrade on its 8-12 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 18-4 record after their 31-18 league win over Illini Bluffs (Glasford, IL).
