Illinois High School Basketball - St. Joseph-Ogden tops Pontiac
January 5, 2023: St. Joseph, IL 61873 St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Pontiac Indians (Pontiac, IL), 57-47 in a league bout.
With the victory, St. Joseph-Ogden upgrades its record to 7-10 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL) to play the Hawks in a Illini Prairie bout on Monday, January 9. The Hawks come into the bout with a record of 11-5. Prairie Central won 54-29 in their recent league bout against Rantoul (Rantoul, IL)
Next up, the Indians play the Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers (Paxton, IL) in a Illini Prairie bout, on Monday, January 9. Pontiac will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 42-25 league loss to Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL).
