Minnesota High School Basketball - Zimmerman holds off Big Lake
February 4, 2025: Zimmerman, MN 55398 The Zimmerman Thunder basketball team scored 73 points and limited the visiting Big Lake Hornets to 69 in the Thunder league triumph on Tuesday.
The Thunder now possess a 15-7 record. They play next when they host Becker for a AAA Section 5 game on Friday, February 7. Zimmerman will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 80-64 non-league loss to Legacy Christian Academy (Andover, MN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-9.
With the loss, Big Lake falls to 4-10 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to St. Francis (St. Francis, MN) to confront the Fighting Saints in a AAA Section 5 game on Thursday, February 6. The Fighting Saints go into the game with a record of 5-12. St. Francis won 78-74 in their recent non-league game against Cambridge-Isanti (Cambridge, MN)
