Minnesota High School Basketball - Zimmerman overwhelms Big Lake
December 19, 2024: Big Lake, MN 55309 The Zimmerman Thunder basketball team scored 67 points and limited the host Big Lake Hornets to 44 in the Thunder league triumph on Thursday.
The Thunder now have a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Rockford for a non-league game on Friday, December 20. Zimmerman will confront a Rockets team coming off a 73-56 non-league win over New London-Spicer (New London, MN). The Rockets record now stands at 4-0.
With the loss, Big Lake falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Hornets host St. Francis (St. Francis, MN) to confront the Fighting Saints in a AAA Section 5 game on Tuesday, January 7. The Fighting Saints go into the game with a record of 1-4.
