In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Comstock Panthers basketball team scored a close 54-51 triumph over the Knippa Crushers.

The Panthers (15-12) will now prepare for their contest against Medina (Medina, TX). The Bobcats go into the 1A Region IV District 31 contest with a 8-16 record. In their last contest, Medina was tipped by Utopia (Utopia, TX), 86-41, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Crushers battle the Nueces Canyon Panthers (Barksdale, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 31 contest, on Friday, February 7. Knippa will attempt to better on its 15-15 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 3-24 record after their 37-36 league win over Leakey (Leakey, TX).
