In Friday's league contest, the host Comstock Panthers basketball team scored a big 79-30 win over the Nueces Canyon Panthers.

The Panthers (14-10) will now prepare for their contest against D'Hanis (D'Hanis, TX). The Cowboys come into the 1A Region IV District 31 contest with a 18-5 record. In their last battle, D'Hanis was crushed by Utopia (Utopia, TX), 72-62, in a league battle.

The Panthers now own a 2-22 record. They put it on the line next when they host Medina for a 1A Region IV District 31 battle on Tuesday, January 28. Nueces Canyon will meet a Bobcats squad coming off a 50-37 league win over Leakey (Leakey, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 7-14.
