North Carolina High School Basketball - Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy nips Highland Tech

In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons basketball team scored a close 65-59 win over the Highland Tech Rams.

The Gryphons (16-5) will now prepare for their contest against Greenville Hurricanes (Greenville, SC). The Hurricanes come into the non-league contest with a 14-15 record. In their last contest, Greenville Hurricanes was tipped by Asheville Christian Academy (Swannanoa, NC), 73-40, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Rams battle the Cherryville Ironmen (Cherryville, NC) in a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont contest, on Friday, February 7. Highland Tech will attempt to better on its 9-11 season record. The Ironmen come into the contest with a 1-20 record after their 79-31 league loss to Burns (Lawndale, NC).
