Minnesota High School Basketball - Pine Island tops Plainview-Elgin-Millville
February 5, 2024: Pine Island, MN 55963 Pine Island Panthers (Pine Island, MN) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Plainview-Elgin-Millville Bulldogs (Elgin, MN), 74-62 in a league bout.
With the victory, Pine Island upgrades its record to 9-13 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Lake City (Lake City, MN) to play the Tigers in a AA Section 1 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 17-4. Lake City won 67-54 in their recent non-league bout against Maranatha Christian Academy (Brooklyn Park, MN)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Chatfield Gophers (Chatfield, MN) in a AA Section 1 bout, on Thursday, February 8. Plainview-Elgin-Millville will attempt to upgrade on its 6-17 season record. The Gophers come into the bout with a 4-20 record after their 64-46 league loss to Dover-Eyota (Eyota, MN).
