Connecticut High School Basketball - New Milford nips Notre Dame Catholic

New Milford Green Wave (New Milford, CT) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Notre Dame Catholic Lancers (Fairfield, CT), 41-37 in a league bout.

With the victory, New Milford upgrades its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Green Wave host New Fairfield (New Fairfield, CT) to play the Rebels in a Southwest - Patriot bout on Thursday, February 8. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 11-7. New Fairfield lost 31-27 in their recent league bout against Newtown (Newtown, CT)

Next up, the Lancers play the Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars (Bridgeport, CT) in a Southwest - Patriot bout, on Thursday, February 8. Notre Dame Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 13-5 record after their 65-60 league win over Pomperaug (Southbury, CT).
