Maryland High School Basketball - North Point triumphant over McDonough
February 5, 2025: Pomfret, MD 20675 The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the North Point Eagles (Waldorf, MD) and the host McDonough Rams (Pomfret, MD), observed North Point's basketball team overwhelm McDonough by a score of 74-13.
The Eagles (12-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD). The Hurricanes come into the Southern Maryland challenge with a 14-1 record. In their last challenge, Huntingtown trounced St. Charles (Waldorf, MD), 59-49, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Rams encounter the Lackey Chargers (Indian Head, MD) in a Southern Maryland challenge, on Friday, February 7. McDonough will attempt to improve on its 4-12 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 1-13 record after their 63-11 league loss to Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD).
