Maryland High School Basketball - McDonough holds off Calvert

December 20, 2024: Pomfret, MD 20675

The McDonough Rams basketball team scored 43 points and limited the visiting Calvert Cavaliers to 36 in the Rams league triumph on Friday.

The Rams now have a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Linganore for a non-league game on Friday, December 27. McDonough will confront a Lancers team coming off a 55-53 league loss to Oakdale (Ijamsville, MD). The Lancers record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Calvert falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD) to confront the Raiders in a non-league game on Friday, December 27. The Raiders go into the game with a record of 4-0. Leonardtown won 42-24 in their recent non-league game against North Hagerstown (Hagerstown, MD)
