Washington, DC High School Basketball - Sandy Spring Friends winner over Georgetown Day
February 6, 2023: Washington, DC 20007 In Monday's league outing, the Sandy Spring Friends Wildebeests (Sandy Spring, MD) basketball squad felled the host Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers (Washington, DC), by a margin of 55-35.
The Wildebeests (17-8) will now prepare for their outing against Spencerville Adventist Academy (Spencerville, MD). The Hornets go into the Potomac Valley outing with a 2-11 record. In their last outing, Spencerville Adventist Academy was beaten by McLean (Potomac, MD), 62-52, in a league outing.
The Mighty Hoppers now own a 1-12 record. They play next when they host Flint Hill for a VISAA Division I outing on Tuesday, February 7. Georgetown Day will clash with a Huskies squad coming off a 59-55 league loss to Maret (Washington, DC). The Huskies record now stands at 9-12.
