Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Goddard Lions (Goddard, KS) and the host Valley Center Hornets (Valley Center, KS), saw Goddard's basketball squad hold off Valley Center by a tally of 65-59.

With the victory, Goddard improves its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Lions host Andover (Andover, KS) to confront the Trojans in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail II challenge on Friday, February 9. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 12-3. Andover won 66-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Arkansas City (Arkansas City, KS)

Next up, the Hornets confront the Arkansas City Bulldogs (Arkansas City, KS) in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail II challenge, on Friday, February 9. Valley Center will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 4-11 record after their 66-37 non-league loss to Andover (Andover, KS).
