Virginia High School Basketball - New Covenant nudges Roanoke Catholic

February 6, 2024: Roanoke, VA 24016

New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Roanoke Catholic Celtics (Roanoke, VA), 32-27 in a league bout.

With the win, New Covenant upgrades its record to 15-6 on the season. The Gryphons travel to Westover Christian Academy (Danville, VA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 10. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 10-6.

Next up, the Celtics clash with the North Cross Raiders (Roanoke, VA) in a VISAA Blue Ridge bout, on Thursday, February 8. Roanoke Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 5-12 record after their 36-33 league win over Chatham Hall (Chatham, VA).
