The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Father McGivney Catholic Griffins (Glen Carbon, IL) and the host Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL), observed Father McGivney Catholic's basketball team overwhelm Metro-East Lutheran by a score of 52-14.

The Griffins (18-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Altamont (Altamont, IL). The Indians come into the non-league challenge with a 12-16 record. In their last challenge, Altamont was routed by Teutopolis (Teutopolis, IL), 61-31, in a non-league challenge.
