The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Gibault Catholic Hawks (Waterloo, IL) and the visiting Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL), observed Gibault Catholic's basketball team overcome Metro-East Lutheran by a margin of 41-23.

The Hawks (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Marissa/Coulterville (Marissa, IL). The Meteors come into the non-league challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Marissa/Coulterville defeated Mt. Olive (Mt. Olive, IL), 32-20, in a non-league challenge.
