The Gibault Catholic Hawks (Waterloo, IL) basketball edged the host Roxana Shells (Roxana, IL), 46-44 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Hawks now possess a 9-6 record. They play next when they travel to Marissa/Coulterville for a non-league bout on Saturday, December 28. Gibault Catholic will play a Meteors team coming off a 37-34 non-league loss to Marquette Catholic (Alton, IL). The Meteors record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Roxana falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Shells travel to Columbia (Columbia, IL) to play the Eagles in a Cahokia - Mississippi bout on Monday, January 6.
