Texas High School Basketball - Abilene holds off Midland
February 7, 2022: Midland, TX 79701 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Abilene Eagles (Abilene, TX) and the host Midland Bulldogs (Midland, TX), saw Abilene's basketball squad hold off Midland by a tally of 58-56.
With the victory, Abilene improves its record to 10-17 on the campaign. The Eagles host San Angelo Central (San Angelo, TX) to confront the Bobcats in a 6A Region I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, February 8. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 18-9. San Angelo Central lost 75-57 in their recent league challenge against Permian (Odessa, TX)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Frenship Tigers (Wolfforth, TX) in a 6A Region I District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, February 8. Midland will attempt to improve on its 6-20 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 26-3 record after their 63-59 league loss to Odessa (Odessa, TX).
