Texas High School Basketball - Abilene knocked off by San Angelo Central
February 8, 2022: Abilene, TX 79603 The San Angelo Central Bobcats basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Abilene Eagles to 48 in the Bobcats league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bobcats now sport a 20-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Frenship for a 6A Region I District 2 contest on Friday, February 11. San Angelo Central will meet a Tigers team coming off a 84-55 league win over Midland (Midland, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 27-3.
The Eagles (10-18) will now prepare for their contest against Permian (Odessa, TX). The Panthers enter the 6A Region I District 2 contest with a 23-7 record. In their last contest, Permian ran past Midland Legacy (Midland, TX), 39-37, in a league contest.
