The Permian Panthers (Odessa, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Abilene Eagles (Abilene, TX), 64-59 in Tuesday's league test.

The Panthers (19-6) will now prepare for their test against Frenship (Wolfforth, TX). The Tigers go into the 6A Region I District 2 test with a 23-2 record. In their last test, Frenship got by San Angelo Central (San Angelo, TX), 49-39, in a league test.
