February 7, 2024: Ansonia, CT 06401 In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Ansonia Chargers (Ansonia, CT) basketball squad felled the visiting Oxford Wolverines (Oxford, CT), by a margin of 71-63.
The Chargers (10-5) will now prepare for their outing against Seymour (Seymour, CT). The Wildcats go into the Naugatuck Valley 2 outing with a 10-6 record. In their last outing, Seymour was beaten by St. Paul Catholic (Bristol, CT), 65-50, in a league outing.
The Wolverines now own a 2-13 record. They play next when they travel to Derby for a Naugatuck Valley 3 outing on Friday, February 9. Oxford will clash with a Red Raiders squad coming off a 65-46 league loss to Woodland Regional (Beacon Falls, CT). The Red Raiders record now stands at 4-12.
