In Friday's league match, the host Monroe Redhawks basketball team scored a good 56-37 triumph over the Parkwood Wolf Pack.

In their next game, the Redhawks meet the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) in a non-league match, on Monday, February 12. Monroe will attempt to better on its 9-6 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 21-1 record after their 64-30 league win over Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC).

With the defeat, Parkwood moves to 13-8 on the year. The Wolf pack travel to Piedmont (Monroe, NC) to meet the Panthers in a 2A/3A Rocky River match on Tuesday, February 13.
