The Ysleta Indians (El Paso, TX) basketball felled the visiting Parkland Matadors (El Paso, TX), 52-34 in Friday's league test.

The Indians (18-10) will now prepare for their test against Bel Air (El Paso, TX). The Highlanders go into the 5A Region I District 2 test with a 14-15 record. In their last test, Bel Air was beaten by Hanks (El Paso, TX), 64-44, in a league test.

The Matadors now own a 10-20 record. They play next when they host Del Valle for a 5A Region I District 2 test on Tuesday, February 13. Parkland will encounter a Conquistadores squad coming off a 68-54 league win over Horizon (El Paso, TX). The Conquistadores record now stands at 19-11.
