Maryland High School Basketball - Chopticon knocked off by Thomas Stone
February 10, 2023: Waldorf, MD 20601 The Thomas Stone Cougars basketball team scored 80 points and held the visiting Chopticon Braves to 60 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.
The Cougars now sport a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to City College for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 11. Thomas Stone will battle a Black Knights team coming off a 77-12 non-league win over Southwestern (Baltimore, MD). The Black Knights record now stands at 16-0.
The Braves (13-7) will now prepare for their contest against Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD). The Hurricanes enter the Southern Maryland contest with a 9-11 record. In their last contest, Huntingtown ran past Bladensburg (Bladensburg, MD), 57-45, in a non-league contest.
