In Thursday's league test, the Southwestern Spartans (Shelbyville, IN) basketball squad knocked off the host Morristown Yellow Jackets (Morristown, IN), by a score of 61-52.

Next, the Spartans encounter the Knightstown Panthers (Knightstown, IN) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, February 18. Southwestern will attempt to improve on its 7-11 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 2-15 record after their 62-51 non-league loss to North Decatur (Greensburg, IN).

The Yellow Jackets (8-11) will now prepare for their test against Eastern Hancock (Charlottesville, IN). The Royals come into the non-league test with a 10-7 record. In their last test, Eastern Hancock was knocked off by Wapahani (Selma, IN), 49-43, in a league test.
