New Mexico High School Basketball - West Mesa holds off Valley
February 15, 2025: Albuquerque, NM 87121 In Saturday's non-league contest, the host West Mesa Mustangs basketball team scored a close 39-38 triumph over the Valley Vikings.
The Mustangs (15-9) will now prepare for their contest against Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Jaguars go into the 5A District 5 contest with a 15-10 record. In their last contest, Atrisco Heritage Academy nipped Manzano (Albuquerque, NM), 81-44, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Vikings confront the Del Norte Knights (Albuquerque, NM) in a 4A District 6 contest, on Tuesday, February 18. Valley will attempt to better on its 10-14 season record. The Knights go into the contest with a 14-10 record after their 39-37 league win over Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM).
