In Friday's non-league test, the Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE) basketball squad defeated the host Elkhorn South Storm (Omaha, NE), by a final score of 55-42.

Next, the Islanders clash with the Norfolk Panthers (Norfolk, NE) in a non-league test, on Monday, February 24. Grand Island will attempt to upgrade on its 11-11 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 3-18 record after their 56-50 non-league win over Omaha South (Omaha, NE).
