New York High School Basketball - Catholic Central trounces Cobleskill-Richmondville
February 22, 2022: Troy, NY 12182 The Catholic Central Crusaders (Troy, NY) basketball crushed the visiting Cobleskill-Richmondville Bulldogs (Cobleskill, NY), 78-38 in Tuesday's league test.
The Crusaders (17-5) will now prepare for their test against Fonda-Fultonville (Fonda, NY). The Braves go into the non-league test with a 3-2 record. In their last test, Fonda-Fultonville walloped Broadalbin-Perth (Broadalbin, NY), 46-37, in a non-league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 9-13 record.
First Quarter
Darien Moore had 7 points and Gabe Lammon had 4 as CCHS led 17 - 10
Second Quarter
Nick Riley's 2 three's and Darien Moore's two dunks ignited the Crusaders defensively, 31 - 19 and the momentum was carried through halftime
Third Quarter
Seizing the momentum and Gabe Lammon's back to back 3's the Crusaders, who got 5 3's in the 3rd pushed the lead to 22
Fourth Quarter
4th quarter saw 6 Crusaders score and Dan Bologna make 4 shots in a row for 10 in the quarter. Xavjon Arroyo spilt the zone for one of the best moves on the season for a bucket.
