Houston Hawks (Big Lake, AK) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Redington Huskies (Wasilla, AK), 73-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Houston upgrades its record to 17-4 on the season. The Hawks host Lathrop (Fairbanks, AK) to clash with the Malemutes in a non-league bout on Friday, February 24. The Malemutes go into the bout with a record of 9-12. Lathrop lost 81-57 in their recent non-league bout against Wasilla (Wasilla, AK)

Next up, the Huskies clash with the Mt. Edgecumbe Braves (Sitka, AK) in a 3A Eastern bout, on Wednesday, March 1. Redington will attempt to upgrade on its 0-18 season record. The Braves go into the bout with a 16-5 record after their 63-50 non-league win over Kenai Central (Kenai, AK).
