North Star Cougars (Boswell, PA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Rockwood Rockets (Rockwood, PA), 71-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, North Star upgrades its record to 14-9 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to McConnellsburg (McConnellsburg, PA) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 28. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 21-3. McConnellsburg won 55-49 in their recent non-league bout against West Branch (Morrisdale, PA)
