The East Mecklenburg Eagles basketball team (Charlotte, NC), was toppled 67-52 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC)

The Warriors now possess a 26-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Butler for a non-league battle on Friday, March 1. Weddington will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 64-59 non-league win over Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 20-8.
