Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) and the visiting Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC), saw Weddington's basketball squad hold off Butler by a count of 56-51.

With the victory, Weddington upgrades its record to 27-1 on the campaign. The Warriors host Chambers (Charlotte, NC) to play the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 5. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 21-8. Chambers won 83-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC)
