The Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV) basketball edged the host Liberty Raiders (Glen Daniel, WV), 49-47 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Patriots now possess a 13-10 record. They play next when they travel to WestSide for a non-league bout on Wednesday, March 12. Midland Trail will play a Renegades team coming off a 80-55 non-league win over Mingo Central (Matewan, WV). The Renegades record now stands at 15-5.

With the loss, Liberty falls to 7-13 on the campaign.
