The Midland Trail Patriots basketball squad (Hico, WV), was crushed 59-33 in Monday's league battle with the visiting James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV)

With the victory, James Monroe advances its record to 18-2 on the year. The Mavericks travel to Greenbrier West (Charmco, WV) to meet the Cavaliers in a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 25. The Cavaliers enter the battle with a record of 6-12. Greenbrier West lost 77-44 in their recent non-league battle against PikeView (Princeton, WV)

The Patriots now own a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wyoming East for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 27. Midland Trail will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 67-39 league win over Liberty (Glen Daniel, WV). The Warriors record now stands at 14-3.
