In Thursday's league test, the Ouachita Parish Lions (Monroe, LA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Ruston Bearcats (Ruston, LA), by a tally of 16-1.

Next, the Lions clash with the D'Arbonne Woods (Farmerville, LA) in a non-league test, on Friday, March 21. Ouachita Parish will attempt to advance on its 14-6 season record. The go into the test with a 12-4 record after their 6-4 non-league win over Oak Grove (Oak Grove, LA).

The Bearcats (8-11) will now prepare for their battle against West Monroe (West Monroe, LA). The Rebels come into the 5A District 2 battle with a 8-11 record.
