In Thursday's league match, the visiting West Monroe Rebels softball team scored a nice 14-4 victory over the Ouachita Parish Lions.

The Rebels (12-14) will now prepare for their match against Alexandria (Alexandria, LA). The Trojans go into the 5A District 2 match with a 23-6 record. In their last match, Alexandria gained a win over Barbe (Lake Charles, LA), 13-8, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Natchitoches Central Chiefs (Natchitoches, LA) in a non-league match, on Friday, April 4. Ouachita Parish will attempt to better on its 15-12 season record. The Chiefs go into the match with a 10-14 record after their 5-0 league win over Haughton (Haughton, LA).
