In Friday's league test, the Hughson Huskies (Hughson, CA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Escalon Cougars (Escalon, CA), by a count of 9-4.

Next, the Huskies meet the Pitman Pride (Turlock, CA) in a non-league test, on Monday, March 24. Hughson will attempt to upgrade on its 9-4 season record. The Pride go into the test with a 3-7 record after their 8-4 league loss to Turlock (Turlock, CA).

The Cougars (3-8) will now prepare for their test against Orestimba (Newman, CA). The Warriors go into the Trans Valley League test with a 3-8 record. In their last test, Orestimba held off Pacific Grove (Pacific Grove, CA), 11-2, in a non-league test.
