Wyoming High School Softball - Campbell County topped by East
March 24, 2023: Cheyenne, WY 82001 The East Thunderbirds softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Campbell County Camels to 1 in the Thunderbirds league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, East moves its record to 2-1 on the year. The Thunderbirds host Thunder Basin (Gillette, WY) to clash with the Bolts in a 4A East game on Friday, March 24. The Bolts come into the game with a record of 0-0.
In their next game, the Camels clash with the Central Indians (Cheyenne, WY) in a 4A East game, on Saturday, March 25. Campbell County will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.

East Thunderbirds Varsity Girls Softball Takes the Game Over Campbell County Varsity Camels in an 11-1 Victory. East easily did away with Campbell County 11-1 on Friday Campbell County got on the board in the first inning. An error scored one run for Campbell County Varsity Camels. East put up five runs in the sixth inning. East's big bats were led by Taylor Morgan, Aleah Brooks, Gracie Oswald, and Jaylyn Christensen, all driving in runs in the inning. Christensen got the start for East. The hurler lasted six innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out ten. Avery Gray was in the pitcher's circle for Campbell County. Gray allowed four hits and five runs over three innings, striking out eight. Jadeyn Snyder threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen. East collected nine hits. Lillian Vallejo, Oswald, and Trista Stehwien each managed multiple hits for East. Stehwien, Oswald, and Vallejo all had two hits to lead East.
