May 9, 2023: Cheyenne, WY 82001 The East Thunderbirds routed the visiting Laramie Plainsmen softball squad by a count of 16-5 in Tuesday's league battle.
The Thunderbirds (16-5) will now prepare for their battle against Laramie (Laramie, WY). The Plainsmen go into the non-league battle with a 2-10 record. In their last battle, Laramie was routed by Campbell County (Gillette, WY), 6-0, in a non-league battle.

Game Summary
Even though East gave up four runs in the first inning, they still defeated Laramie 16-5 on Tuesday. The offensive firepower by Laramie was led by Marisol Gomez and Haley Loya, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning. East secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the fourth inning. Trista Stehwien, Aleah Brooks, McKenzie Millar, Taylor Hollibaugh, Taylor Morgan, and Gracie Oswald all drove in runs in the frame.
