Wheatland got things moving in the first inning. Mackenzie Lockman grounded out into a double play but still was able to knock in one run. Jaylyn Christensen was credited with the victory for East. The hurler went five innings, allowing two runs on three hits, striking out nine and walking one. Lockman took the loss for Wheatland. The hurler lasted two innings, allowing six hits and eight runs while striking out two. East hit two home runs on the day. Gracie Oswald went for the long ball in the second inning. Trista Stehwien had a long ball in the first inning. East Thunderbirds had 13 hits in the game. Hollibaugh, Oswald, Lillian Vallejo, Taylor Morgan, and Stehwien all managed multiple hits for East. Hollibaugh went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead East in hits.
