In Thursday's non-league game, the host Apache Junction Prospectors baseball team scored a close 4-2 victory over the Snowflake Lobos.

The Prospectors (7-5) will now prepare for their game against Payson (Payson, AZ). The Longhorns enter the non-league game with a 8-4 record.

Next, the Lobos face the Show Low Cougars (Show Low, AZ) in a 3A East game, on Friday, March 28. Snowflake will attempt to improve on its 8-2 season record. The Cougars enter the game with a 10-5 record after their 21-0 non-league win over San Tan Foothills (Queen Creek, AZ).
